ODYSSEY

As a practicing architect, I am currently studying urban design as part of my further education.  I have been in Newcastle for three months. The city has a lot to offer and something for every taste. Its ranking as the best city for student nightlife made a big difference in my choice . I wanted the famous “college lifestyle”. There are facilities such as pool halls, art galleries, theatres, cinemas, shopping centres , football stadiums . It also has excellent transport links to Edinburgh and other northern powers. The list of activities available goes on and on.

Even though I’ve completed semester one . It still feels like the first day I arrived here, uncertain if I’d accomplish this or not. The journey has been filled with highs and lows. I recall the first lecture where we received a briefing on the entire course. When I checked the modules . It indicated that we were supposed to write blogs . which left me a little confused as I had no idea how to do it.

JOURNEY SO FAR :

Before starting the blog, I had never attempted to publish written content in a public forum related to my area of expertise. This is a new experience for me. About using blogs for learning. I found this semester very rewarding. Writing helps you organize your thoughts and draw conclusions . while reading other people’s words broadens your horizons and gives you new ideas. Expression and knowledge sharing. Many bloggers enjoy the process because it allows them to communicate with a global audience . You can establish a readership, and network with others who share their interests.

Blogging fosters personal development by developing writing skills and enhancing understanding of specific themes. Maintaining consistency, dealing with feedbacks . Sometimes It is time consuming, but it can also be rewarding because of the ability to impact and inspire others. Overall, this blogging curriculum has improved my critical thinking and writing skills . As well as given me more confidence to express myself and engage in conversations with others.
