Reflection on my blog writing
I had never blogged in my previous studies, so when I first learned we needed to blog, I was confused and nervous. Because I’m not very interested in blogging, I haven’t even read blogs written by others. The first attempt was very challenging for me and the experience was very rewarding for me. Attending the blogging introductory lecture gave me some insight into some of the questions about the blogging process. We set a schedule for website design, photos, bios, and launches at blog meetings, which made me more purposeful in my writing. I didn’t know how to start blogging at first, but the courses on Urban Design Seminar and Urban Design Principles and Practice gave me a lot of inspiration and knowledge. In the course of blogging, I will summarize what the teacher taught in the class and attach my thoughts on what I have learned. Through blogging, I also have a deeper understanding and perception of urban design and related knowledge. I’m excited to have the opportunity to learn how to start a blog.
Blog Team
To help us upload our blog smoothly, we regularly organize blogging sessions. We discussed a lot of things at the meeting, like the basic layout of the blog, the cover design of the blog, some issues with blog writing and how we can revise them. Attending the conference together brought a lot of different ideas and it was also very beneficial for our blog. Especially for me, I have no experience in blogging, but at the blogging meeting we will discuss the problems encountered in blogging and solve them in time. This has helped me a lot with my writing and has made my blog a huge improvement in a short period of time.
Challenges and future
Through my blogging experience this semester, I learned that blogs are not like the academic papers we usually write. We also need to take into account that readers may not be well versed in the field, so how we express our views in plain language is also important. How to use concise language to let readers who know nothing about urban design understand some knowledge of urban design.
First of all, I think I need to read more professional books to enrich my professional knowledge, so that I can have more ideas when writing a blog, and make my blog more supported by professional knowledge and more readable. Let readers learn more by reading. Also, in future blog creations, I should add more illustrations and quotes to prove some facts and make my blog more credible and more deeply understood and moved by readers.
Finally, look forward to writing more meaningful blogs next semester. In future blogs, I will pay more attention to the expression of content, and I will also learn more about urban design through different channels. In addition, I think my blog should be improved in aesthetics, and I will use illustrations more flexibly to make my blog more attractive in the future. I would also love to continue sharing more about urban design with you in the future. Let’s study urban design together, and I’m glad to communicate with you on the Internet during this time. I also learned a lot, understood my own shortcomings in blog creation, and pointed out the direction for me to improve my blog in the future. Looking forward to continuing to share my urban design ideas with you all on the blog in the near future.
