Ayanda Dedicoat

I’m a fifth year masters of architecture and urban planning student(Urban Design). With experience as a student planner at a local authority. Im particularly interested in the production of space and experiential design ,how designers can curate the pedestrian experience. This led to my dissertation topic exploring how women navigate space in Newcastle. Growing up in South Africa and moving to the Uk has shaped my understanding of spatial legibility, specifically the importance of blurring the boundaries of public and private spaces to create a cohesive public realm.
